a recent highlight is getting my paws on a kobo e-reader. BOO at Amazon, in general, and kindle, which does not support overdrive/libby in my country. I found that out the hard way after being a silly goose and not doing my due diligence before purchasing. You bet your ass I sped walk back to the tech store before closing ASAP after work. Regardless, the joy of glare-free and ultra-portability reading has me giddy to start reading. Slowly.
- Women and Girls with Autism Spectrum Disorder by Sarah Hendrickx
- The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skoot
- I Contain Multitudes by Ed Yong
- Breasts: a Natural and Unnatural History by Florence Williams
- System Error: Where Big Tech Went Wrong and How We Can Reboot by Rob Reich, Mehran Sahami, and Jeremy Weinstein
I won't lie. It's sparse here in terms of keeping up to date. Primarily all manga, entirely all on hold. Here's to the hopefuls, instead:
manga
- My Hero Academia by Horikoshi Kōhei
- on hiatus: planning to binge the final arcs... (guy who clenches teeth at spoiler panels of shouto)
- Skip and Loafer by Takamatsu Misaki
- Chainsaw Man by Fujimoto Tastsuki
- Spy x Family by Tatsuya Endo
- Gokurakugai by Yuto Sano
- Fullmetal Alchemist by Arakawa Himoru
- I am very slowly but very surely collecting my most beloved. Rereading in the sense I am tenderly flipping through the pages and admiring its physical manifestations in my paws.
anime
- Mob Psycho 100 S3: episode 3 - incomplete
- Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995)
I don't often watch movies nor television. My attention span dictates watching parties only. Which I want to change because I promise I actually like films.
film
- Glass Onion (2022)
- Eat Drink Man Woman (1994)
- Turning Red (2022)
- Baby Driver (2017) - dropped. the romance, and cast, was unbearable to my sensibilities.
- Princess Mononoke (1997) - incomplete
- I'm serious, there's only 20 minutes left. What is wrong with me.
- M3GAN (2022)
- Howl's Moving Castle (2004)
- Spiderman: Across the Spiderverse (2023)
television
- Bojack Horseman (2014-2020) - as background noise...
- Sex Education - dropped
- Studio Ghibli films I haven't seen/haven't finished
- Pick back up manga...skip to loafer, chainsaw man, etc.
- Barbenheimer. i'll be honest though, just barbie is really tickling me. But I'm willing to stare into Cilian Murphy's eyes for 3 hours.

At the very least, I hope to find stability and calm. The daily sleeping into and waking up to gut-bottoming dread is cramping my style. I truly have no idea what the hell I'm doing, but at least I feel accomplished by (unintentionally, forcibly) waking up before 6am, moving my body, and eating more of the foods I can tolerate. I see my friends often now because I need them. And in a way, they need me too. Some people's twenties could topple civilisations...
- Joined a gym! a great sale was on, and I can be a gym buddy with one of my best friends :)
- yoga class, spin class, step classes trialed out so far
- my coordination is terrifyingly bad.
- yoga class, spin class, step classes trialed out so far
- The gym is basically you and some randoms doing parallel play together like this is great. idk why I was ever hesitant of THIS.
- Note to self: ask rock climbing friend about rock climbing
- New job is terrifying me! But I will do it whilst afraid! Missing the ease I had with my previous coworkers!
- It genuinely makes me feel horrible, but I know I have to give it time and grit my teeth to see how I adapt to it, and how it adapts to me. Remember: you can always hit the fucking bricks!
- Started japanese language class! I'm having a great time!
- Wow...salads are so good. The world of dressings is bright and beautiful. So is banh mi. Drinking a lot of tea and matcha lattes lately because anxiety.
- note to self: self-indulgent solo salads post
